Abstract

This article discusses the role and importance of digital technologies in education. Digital technologies are penetrating many aspects of society. Education is no exception to this process. The purpose of the article is to consider the priority areas of development of the educational process, their advantages and threats based on the analysis of the capabilities of digital technologies. The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning and shows the forms of digitalization that require a comprehensive approach that sets new goals for the education system and changes the structure and content of the educational process.
