In the context of the transformation of modern pedagogical education, the importance of such forms of organization of the educational process that develop independence, critical thinking and research skills of students is increasing. One of the effective directions in this context is the introduction of a laboratory form of independent learning, focused on the active participation of the student in educational and research activities. This paper examines the methodological and practical foundations for the implementation of this approach in the system of higher pedagogical education.
