Abstract

This article provides a brief definition of pedagogy, outlines the historical stages of its formation, and explores its development as a science. The essence, goals, and objectives of pedagogy are discussed, as well as its role and importance in the upbringing of an individual. In addition, the contribution of great scholars and thinkers to the development of pedagogy is analyzed.
