China's gastronomic diplomacy as an instrument of soft power

This article examines the role of Chinese gastronomy in promoting the soft power of the People's Republic of China. It analyzes the historical foundations of the formation of China's culinary image, its impact on international relations, and the country's cultural appeal. Particular attention is paid to Beijing's current programs to promote national cuisine, as well as how gastronomy is used to strengthen China's political, economic, and cultural ties with other countries.
