Abstract

Becquerel was the first to discover the existence of natural radiation, that is, he found that natural minerals contain uranium and that it emits radiation. It was also clear that this radiation is very dangerous to the human body. Radiation in the form of waves is similar to light, only it has a shorter wavelength, so it has a photon or "packet" of energy with high energy.
