Abstract

Radiation is one of the environmental factors that poses a threat to human health and plays an important role in the development of malignant tumors. This thesis analyzes the effects of ionizing radiation at the cellular level, DNA damage, mutations, and the mechanisms of tumor development. It also highlights the significance of different radiation sources (natural and artificial), their doses, and duration of exposure in increasing tumor risk. The research findings may serve as a basis for reducing radiation hazards and developing preventive measures.
