Abstract

      This article covers the concept of intellectual property, the need for its legal protection, and the process of converting ideas into economic value - commercialization - in a simple and understandable way. The author explains the essence of intellectual property as a product of human intellectual activity, revealing its role and importance in the modern economy. The article analyzes the consequences of not protecting intellectual property, including problems such as unauthorized use, loss of income, and a decrease in interest in innovative activities. At the same time, the importance of patenting, trademark registration, and copyright registration is substantiated. The study describes in detail the main methods of commercializing intellectual property objects: licensing, selling rights, creating innovative products, the franchise model, and cooperation and investment projects. It also covers the role of intellectual property in economic development, its importance in increasing investment attractiveness, and its contribution to the national economy. In conclusion, it is emphasized that effective protection and rational use of intellectual property are important factors in turning ideas into a real source of income..
