Abstract

The article analyzes legal, institutional, financial and social factors in the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan. It examines the impact of state support programmes, concessional loans, the “Hamroh” programme, the “Mahalla Project”, digital platforms, vocational training and business skills development on women’s economic activity. The paper also assesses key barriers facing women entrepreneurs, including limited access to finance, lack of collateral, unpaid care burdens, low sectoral diversification and digital skills gaps. Based on national practice and recommendations of international organizations, the article proposes innovative approaches to strengthen women’s entrepreneurship.
