Ushbu maqolada polimeraza zanjir reaksiyasi — Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) usulining nazariy asoslari, ishlash mexanizmi va uning genom tadqiqotlaridagi o‘rni zamonaviy ilmiy yondashuvlar asosida tahlil qilinadi. PCR texnologiyasi DNKning ma’lum qismlarini in vitro sharoitda ko‘paytirish imkonini beruvchi yuqori sezgir va aniqligi bilan ajralib turadigan usul sifatida molekulyar biologiya va genetika sohalarida keng qo‘llanilmoqda. Maqolada PCR jarayonining asosiy bosqichlari — denaturatsiya, primerlarning birikishi (annealing) va elongatsiya — batafsil yoritilib, ularning har biri genom tahlilidagi ahamiyati bilan izohlanadi.
