Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, its mechanism of action, and its role in genome research based on modern scientific approaches. PCR technology is widely used in molecular biology and genetics as a highly sensitive and accurate method that allows for the amplification of specific DNA fragments in vitro. The article describes in detail the main stages of the PCR process — denaturation, annealing of primers, and elongation — and explains the importance of each of them in genome analysis.
