Abstract

In literary studies, translation is one of the most convenient forms of literary communication. Literature is also enriched through translations.

In particular, due to the close relationship between the Karakalpak and Uzbek languages, it is convenient to use word-for-word translation to the extent possible while fully preserving the content. In this case, significant defects are not noticeable. It is known that Mirtemir, in his friendly relations with Karakalpak literature, paid great attention to the issue of translation. In this article, we will discuss the translation work carried out in the literature of these two peoples. A translation can be successful only if the translator knows both languages very well, and moreover, if they treat that language with respect and learn the people's language with love, they can achieve a flawless translation. From this point of view, the preservation of the original in translation, genre features, changes in the psychology of the lyrical hero its depiction should not be overlooked
