The article discusses the principles of designing adaptive online programming courses using an intelligent tutor based on artificial intelligence (AI tutor). Using the example of a Python language course, a system architecture is proposed based on personalization of training and dynamic adaptation of content to the student's level of preparation. Methodological approaches to building an AI tutor are presented, technological solutions are discussed, and an analysis of the results of pilot testing of the course is provided.
