This article analyzes information about the birthplace of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur - Andijan - from the point of view of source studies, based on scientific and historical sources in English (18th-21st centuries). The main attention is paid to the translations of "Boburnoma" (in English), written by Babur himself, the products of oriental studies of the 19th century, and the reassessment and synthesis works of the 21st century. The results of the study show that sources in English of various periods and genres consistently record Babur's birth in Andijan in 1483, as well as the extensive coverage of the cultural and spiritual significance of Andijan in Babur's biography (fruits and vegetables, gardening, language and customs).
