Abstract

Blood supply to the muscles plays an important role in the occurrence of fatigue. Due to
the constant contraction of the muscles in the same position during static work, their poor blood
supply causes rapid fatigue (for example, weight lifting). Fatigue in long-distance runners is
caused by a violation of control coordination between centers in the nervous system and
movement organs. Such fatigue is characterized by the weakening of heart contractions, the
increase in the number of contractions and, as a result, the decrease in the efficiency of heart
work. Therefore, the oxygen supply of the body decreases, the products of anaerobic
decomposition in the blood increase, and this situation, in turn, causes general fatigue.
