Abstract

to prevent obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, it is
desirable to consume less food products containing glucose and maltose, because they
cause high and persistent hyperglycemia. In order to satisfy the craving for
carbohydrates, it is recommended to eat starchy products, because in this case,
postprandial hyperglycemia is less pronounced.
