THE CONCEPT OF IT LITERACY AND ITS ROLE IN THE ACTIVITIES OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS' LEADERS

This article presents a theoretical and analytical overview of the concept of IT literacy and its significance in the professional activities of educational institution leaders. In the context of digital transformation, leaders’ IT competencies—including digital management, implementation of innovations, cybersecurity, and digital culture—are becoming increasingly important. Based on international frameworks such as UNESCO’s ICT Competency Framework and the EU’s DigCompEdu, the article emphasizes the impact of IT literacy on the effectiveness of educational governance. The study concludes with strategic recommendations for developing digital competencies among education leaders
