This article examined the aesthetic aspect of translating poems from Uzbek into English. One of the famous poems of the Uzbek poet Muhammad Ali “Bir yigit bor, kelishgan, guzal” in the original language was chosen as the object of the study, in which the author clearly shows the cultural and traditional norms of behavior of the Uzbek people. A comparative analysis of the English translation made by Azam Obidov was also carried out to determine the adequacy and equivalence of the poetic translation from an aesthetic point of view.
