THE ROLE OF TEACHERS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This study aims to assess the level of professional development of teachers operating in an inclusive education environment and the main difficulties and opportunities they face in the process. The cross section (cross-sectional) method was used as a research methodology and involved 120 teachers operating in inclusive education institutions in different regions. The data collection used techniques such as surveys and interviews, and the collected data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. The results of the study showed the main factors necessary for the successful activities of teachers in inclusive education, in particular, emphasize that the trainings and seminars that they regularly attend are important in improving their professional skills. It has also discussed the level of motivation of teachers and the importance of support offered on the side of educational institutions. This study provides useful information for laypersons and educational institutions to support the professional development of teachers in an inclusive education environment.
